Emma works with silver, gold, resin, wood, semi precious and precious stones to create one off commissions and statement collections. She takes her inspiration from the human form and aims to make pieces that sit comfortably on the body. Her passion is silver, exploring this beautiful metal's capacity and showcasing it in its purest form, employing simple, elegant shapes that are highly polished or roughly hammered. Despite working as a jeweller for many years she continues to be intrigued by fastenings, and often the closing and opening mechanisms take centre stage in her work, resulting in a playful dialogue between form and function. She likes to invited the wearer to interact with the jewellery, to be aware of it through its weight, feel or the sound that it makes.
