Invitation to exhibition by Matthew Mitchell (fine artist) and David Holden (ceramic artist) on 23rd November 3pm - 6pm. Artist talk by Matthew Mitchell at 4pm. ALL WELCOME
Matthew Mitchell, a fine artist based in the Burren uses local materials in his representative forms of turlachs, limestone terraces and drumlins. This seen world interplays with small enamel dots to suggest the unseen of Satellite, GPS and grid coordinates. Mitchell's work is of an ever shifting environment between the digital and our geological past.
David Holden is a ceramic artist using clay from Corca Dhuibhne (Dingle Peninsula). He is interested in preserving the integrity and beauty of the natural material.
"Each ball of clay has a story, it has already had a journey down the riverbeds and into cliff faces. It has been influenced by the weather, the rain, the river flow over the millenia."
EXHIBITION WILL RUN FROM 23RD NOVEMBER - 24TH DECEMBER, 2019
