Incalmo Bowl by Lucinda Robertson. Aubergine and Coral Red. Unusual colours brought together to stunning effect. We just can’t rate these bowls more highly. Effective in a light filled room. 27.5 cms in diameter and 15 cms high.

Incalmo is an ancient glass-making technique to join two distinct parts after heat to allow for the use of different colours.

The term was used in the first half of the twentieth century by the Venini factory on Murano Venice. The glass artist blows two separate bubbles of glass, opens them and joins them together to form a single bubble.This system requires uncommon technical mastery on the part of the glassblower.
