“From as far back as I can remember, I have told anyone that would listen that I was going to be an artist when I grew up. I somehow always knew that I would, but I could never have predicted the path that would eventually bring me here.” Cora Cummins
Cora graduated from Crawford College of Art and Design and DCCOI Pottery Skills course in 2000. Afterwards, she began working as a production potter before taking up the position of Ceramics tutor at Dungarvan College. For the next 19 years she nurtured her students and watching them grow and excel but with a young family it left very little time for my to work on my own ceramics.
It was only when she found herself experiencing a devastating loss, that she returned to clay and was brought back to her childhood aspiration to be an artist. For the last number she has worked as a ceramic artist producing beautiful pieces that deserve the attention and acclaim they have been met with.
